The project will see:

• Resurfacing of the footway around the lake

• Construction of a new slipway

• Renovations to the vacant spaces in the RNLI building, introducing equipment hire/storage facilities and modern public toilets

• Entrance signage to welcome visitors

• Repairs to the historic pavilion roof in Madeira Gardens

Having previously delivered the main promenade works on Weston seafront in 2010, we are delighted to once again play a part in enhancing our town’s much-loved waterfront.

We look forward to working alongside North Somerset Council and the community to restore Marine Lake as a place that can be enjoyed by residents and visitors for many years to come.

EJ McGrath have completed work in area around the Cenotaph, in the city centre in time for Remembrance Day.

Lord Mayor Lesley Alexander said it was a “welcome return” after last year’s event at Queen Square.

The parade, led by 7 Military Intelligence Battalion, marched from College Green to Colston Avenue.

The actors who were in town scouting for a location for a new TV series they are working on, were impressed that a local company had carried out all the slab and stone works on such a high profile project.

EJ McGrath Construction has been involved for 3 years on the prom, seawall and Pier Square redevelopments and are very proud of the high level of finish which has been achieved. Eamonn McGrath said “it was nice to have visitors commenting on how impressed they are with the improvements and it looks like the multi million pound investment has been given the Royle seal of approval”

Achieving sectional completion on schedule for the first phase of our works in Cardiff was vital as an estimated 80,000 people have lined the streets of Cardiff for the UK’s second Armed Forces Day.

The day began with a parade of troops from Cardiff Castle along the new paving on St Marys Street and will included air, sea and land displays and a drumhead service.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall joined the event as part of their week-long tour of Wales.

Eamonn McGrath met with Princess Anne and spoke with her during her visit to the new Square where she unveiled a plaque. The Princess was impressed by the standard of workmanship  and the overall feel of the new public space.

The seafront square has until now been known as Pier Square. Members of the public were asked in 2009 to suggest names for the revamped area.

EJ McGrath started work on the £3.9million square back in 2010 and it opened in February this 2011.
